Healing Young Hearts Volunteers
Empowering Children to Heal Through Stories, Art, Play, and Music
About Healing Young Hearts
Healing Young Hearts Incorporated is a registered U.S. tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit, dedicated to creating free resources and training volunteers to help children find emotional healing after disaster, illness, loss, poverty, and life’s most challenging moments. We believe that every child deserves access to compassionate support and evidence-based healing tools, regardless of their circumstances. Our mission is to equip volunteers with the knowledge and skills they need to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives during their most vulnerable times.
We use five interconnected, research-backed tools to support children’s emotional healing: storytelling and puppetry that open doors to hope, art activities that help children express emotions they cannot yet speak, play that relieves stress and restores joy, music that reaches the human heart, and Warrior Breathing—a self-soothing skill children can carry with them always. Our trained volunteers work in disaster zones, hospitals, low-income schools, orphanages, community centers, and migrant family outreach programs, bringing healing and hope to children in their greatest moments of need.
